Establishing the impact of access to HE work is the biggest challenge facing the access community in the 2010s. It is also too big a challenge to be addressed by one-day events. This working group is an on-going forum that is actively trying to support and shape how we prove the worth of our work. The working group advocates to policymakers, in particular HEFCE and OFFA, regarding how they can support those tasked with evaluation.

The NEON Establishing Impact and Measuring Evidence Working Group is meeting on Monday 25th July at Birbeck University from 10.30am to 3.30pm. This one-day conference will explore recent developments in how the higher education sector uses data to measure the success of its widening participation agenda. We will be joined by UCAS who will be talking about their recent Equality Reports for individual universities, and looking at what the Higher Education White Paper means for widening participation data and evaluation.
