The group promotes working with primary age children as part of the widening access agenda, building on the OfS recommendation of an evidenced based approach to early sustained WP interventions.

The group provides a network for practitioners to meet and discuss common issues of concern, evaluations of projects and to develop joint initiatives and partnerships.
