NEON Students of the Year Award – COMMENDATION
Omer Ali is currently a fourth year Medical student at The University of Manchester and has worked as a student ambassador for over four years. He is from a household with no parental heritage of higher education, and participated himself in the Manchester Access Programme (MAP). Omer has voluntarily designed and delivered bespoke medical events for MAP students. His ideas for a Medical Simulation Day allowed over 60 MAP students the chance to perform medical tasks whilst meeting and networking with medical professionals. The contribution Omer has made is exceptional and he is an inspirational role model for young people and current students.
