Head of Stakeholder Engagement, Pearson
As Head of Stakeholder Engagement at Pearson, the largest awarding organisation in the UK, a key part of Ria’s role is to support the progression of students to Higher Education. This involves consulting with universities and other key stakeholders during qualification reform and updating universities on qualification developments to help inform their entry requirements. It also includes working closely with widening participation groups, including NEON.
She has spent over 13 years working in education, focused mainly on BTEC qualifications, and was formerly the Head of BTEC at Pearson. She is passionate about widening participation and is a member of the ‘NEON Supporting BTEC Students Working Group’.
