About this event

This Working Group is co-organised by Inclusive Futures and Lancaster University.

Are you ready to be part of a vibrant community that’s driving real change in higher education?
This reinvigorated working group is all about unlocking the transformative power of coaching and mentoring to widen access, enhance student success, and build a more inclusive sector. We’ll explore how these sustained interventions can make a real difference not just in outcomes, but in student experience, confidence, and sense of belonging.

Through engaging discussions, practical resource development, and a focus on skills-building, this group offers a collaborative space to share ideas, tackle challenges, and uncover what really works. From top tips to common pitfalls, from designing new projects to embedding coaching into strategic planning, nothing’s off the table.

We’ll also shine a spotlight on student voice, helping ensure our approaches are shaped by the very people they aim to support.

Whether you’re leading projects, just starting out, or looking to amplify impact across your institution, this working group is your opportunity to connect, create, and contribute to sector-wide innovation.

Join us and help shape the future of widening access and student success, one conversation at a time.
