Mature Learners Working Group
Establishing evidence and measuring impact
University of Leicester
12:00 pm - 3:00 pm
In the next few years the number of 17-18 year olds will drop and focus on recruitment of mature learners into HE will become key. There has a been a recent fall in participation from mature learners in FE and HE due to funding changes and a lack of support. We need to underline the importance of mature learners and their journeys into HE to shape and support their development.
This working group is a practitioner-led network of partnerships between FE providers, HEIs, Access course providers and other agencies.
The working group shares best practice across the sector from pre-entry information, advice and guidance to employability following graduation.
