Agenda

1. Welcome and Introductions
2. Presentation from Alex Jones, Regional Manager – West, The Brilliant Club
The Brilliant Club is an award-winning university access charity that works in non-selective state schools across the UK to increase the number of pupils from underrepresented backgrounds progressing to highly-selective universities. We do this through the “The Scholars Programme” which provides pupils from the age of 9 upwards the opportunity to work with a PhD researcher to experience university-style learning that helps them to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to excel in their next phase of education. The Brilliant Club believes that now, more than ever, it is time to close the education inequality gap.
3. Presentation from Abi Pritchard and Lisa Owen, University of Nottingham
The University of Nottingham Primary Schools Team will talk you through their objectives and how they evaluate these for their programmes
4. Breakout rooms discussions
