Dean of Continuing Education, University of Roehampton
Gianina Harvey-Brewin is Dean of Continuing Education at the University of Roehampton, where she leads the university’s portfolio of pathways, adult learning, apprenticeships, short courses and online education. Her work focuses on creating equitable routes into and through higher education, particularly for non-traditional, working, and vocational learners.
Before joining Roehampton, Gianina was Associate Director of Employability and Apprenticeships at the University of Greenwich, where she led institution-wide strategies to integrate skills development, employer engagement and work-based learning. She has shaped national conversations on widening participation, technical education and the Lifelong Learning Entitlement through her contributions to the Department for Education’s Lifelong Learning Entitlement (LLE) working group and her sector leadership roles.
Gianina is also a Board Director of the Institute of Student Employers (ISE), where she plays an active role in influencing policy, supporting employer practice, and championing inclusive recruitment. Her thought leadership has been featured in outlets including FE News and Wonkhe, with a particular interest in pathways, skills, and the intersection between access, employability and social mobility.
Passionate about the transformative power of education, Gianina’s work centres on building systems that recognise the realities of learners’ lives while opening up meaningful, flexible and supported routes into higher education.
