Health Education England’s National Widening Participation Awards
27 June 2017
19.00 – 21.00
The Palace of Westminster

Health Education England’s National Widening Participation Awards recognised the achievements in the health sector of outstanding widening participation partnerships, research and initiatives. They also celebrated the success of individuals from diverse backgrounds who go over and above to support this agenda across the health sector.

Widening participation is a major strategic priority within health supporting not only workforce supply and demand, but also the wider social mobility agenda across the country. HEE’s National Widening Participation Awards are a key part of this strategy as they recognise the achievements of some remarkable individuals and collaborative partnerships to support a future workforce and widen access to professional education. As the national professional organisation for access to higher education in the UK with over 100 universities and colleges as members we were proud to convene this event on behalf of the HEE.

The awards were presented to the winners at a reception on 27th June 2017 from 19.00 – 21.00 at the Palace of Westminster.
