NEON Outstanding Contribution to Widening Access Award – COMMENDATION

Steve Kendall

Steve Kendall has worked within Higher Education for over 30 years and during this time has been committed to the mission of access and widening participation.  Beginning at Luton College of Higher Education in 1983 as a lecturer on Access courses, his career has continued to focus on the mission to widen participation. He held the position of Head of Access and Admissions from 1992-2000 at the University of Luton. More recently he has been the Associate Dean of Partnerships and Director of Widening Participation at the University of Bedfordshire for the past 10 years. He retains a passion for his work and a commitment to reducing inequalities within Higher Education.
